The "Volunteer Experience" at the Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair and Beauty Show (Spring 2012)

I had the pleasure of photographing the Taliah Waajid World Natural Hair and Beauty Show this spring. I was hired to take time to focus on the men and woman who take time out of their day to volunteer for this event. Each volunteer is required to work a four hour shift. That could be anything from helping people find their way around, to handing out booklets, to working at will call, helping attendees sign up for classes, and so much more.
