Color Outside the Lines: Film Screening

"Struggle, Joy, Failure, Success; words like these could serve as the backdrop for the next big hollywood blockbuster, or a description of a tattoo artist's life. Color Outside the Line is the first film that provides a deep look into the history, culture and lives of the world's top black tattoo artists. Creating a film that would accurately tell the stories of these amazing artists, was initially a dream that manifested into a reality when world renowned tattoo artist, Miya Bailey lined with burgeoning filmmaker Artemus Jenkins. After three years of filming and tattooing everywhere from Atlanta to Amsterdam, this film is here to make sure the story and legacies of these artist will live on forever."
- Color Outside the Lines: A tattoo Documentary-
Directed by: Artemus Jenkins
Conceived and Produced by: Miya Bailey

I had the pleasure of attending the Color Outside the Lines Film Screening, in Atlanta.
The theater sold out, filling 350 seats. This Film is amazing and is a MUST OWN! We bought two copies of the DVD. One for my household, and one for my brother.
Miya Bailey and Artemus Jenkins spoke before and after the film. being sure to leave room for the audience to ask questions at the end. After that everyone went to the lobby where you were free to mingle, and get autographs.
Here are some of my photos.

Featured Restaurant: Mellow Mushroom (Decatur)

I was in the mood for some pizza while I was out with my son. We decided to go to Mellow Mushroom for the first time. I haven't been able to find a great pizza spot that served slices since I moved to GA (two years ago). So I walked in and asked if they served slices, and was pleasantly surprised when they said yes.
Slices are served Monday-Friday from 11am-2pm, so I was happy to hear that they had 2 slices left. (It was around 3:30pm)
Our server was so nice, and the food was amazing! I was able to get a slice of cheese pizza for my son. And I ordered my slice to have green peppers and pepperoni. With a crust like no other, fresh ingredients, a great zagat rating, and a psychedelic vibe Mellow Mushroom is standing out above the rest.  Here are a few photos from our trip.

Look how cool the menu is!

My son was really excited! LOL.... can you tell?!?

They even took the time to cut Sean's slice into little pieces, making it so much easier for him to eat.

Cheese, cheese, and more cheese...
